Supporting Our K-9 Troops

Our GVC students love animals and decided that we wanted to help K-9 troops who support our soldiers. We discovered that everyday items are difficult to find in war zones. We got organized to collect donations like these:

• K-9 cooling vests, mats, collars
• Dog biscuits and treats (no pork or pig ears—forbidden in some cultures)
• Jerky treats (no greenies or rawhides)
• Dog shampoo, conditioner & brushes
• Chew bones, ropes and toys
• Towels & baby wipes
• K-9 eye drops & eye/ear wipes
• Tennis balls & Kong rubber balls
• Dog boots
• K-9 Advantix, flea & tic treatment
• Dog beds/pillows
• K-9 toothpaste & brush –Yes, dogs should have their teeth brushed!
• Collapsible nylon dog bowls

Helping animals

Could you imagine if you were a lost dog and never got found? I wish we would find most of the lost pets, and I hope they find a great home.

• Be nice and sweet, and help the animals on the land and in the water.
• My Nana feeds stray cats at her home.
• My brother and I fed a stray cat beef.
