My First Day at School in Florida By: Brandon

I was so nervous; it was my first day at Epiphany Cathedral School. I had just moved from Boston, Massachusetts because the climate in Boston was freezing cold. I hated moving from Boston, but my Mom and Dad said they were sick of the weather.

My mom said it was my birthday present, but I still didn’t want to move. I made a really big deal about it at first. After I thought about it, I decided to tell my Dad that I didn’t mind moving but I also said “I don’t want new friends.”

Dad said he really appreciated it and said that it was the kindest thing I had ever done. He said to keep being kind and caring and life would go very smooth for me.

SDA, The Saviors

By: Erin

One weekend I went to a veterinary/ clinic and volunteered at an animal shelter. The SDA (Sarasota in Defense of Animals) brought in furl cats. Furl means wild. These wild cats may have been domestic at one point.

People would capture the furls in cages and bring them to the SDA. That day, volunteers were spaying and neutering these cats and checking them for ear mites and fleas. They cleaned the blood from the females, and tipped their ears.

I brought a camera to take pictures. Then I got to help clean ears, check for fleas, and clean the blood. Now imagine one vet doing about forty ferl cats. It would take a very long time.

The cats were different sizes. There were cats that were huge, like two feet long to small little kittens. Some of the kittens might be able to be adopted to a good home.

The whole point of this life story is that good people are taking time to help save lives of animals. THAT is indeed a form of kindness.

The Kindness By: Darien

There is a story of kindness that must be told. There once was kid who was nobody who became something great with the help of kindness. Here is that short story.

It started in small town called Venice with boy named Sam. He was new to this town. Sam came from Canada. When he arrived at the local school he was ridiculed and teased because of the way he talked, with a Canadian dialect. This did not help him feel welcome to his arrival to America.

This continued until a girl named Jillian reached out to him by helping him talk without his accent being noticed. With Jill’s help, Sam was not embarrassed to talk in class and this helped him to feel accepted in his new school. Jillian’s kindness helped Sam to be a somebody. Sam and Jillian became best friends and later they became boyfriend and girlfriend.

Sam is now the cool kid of the school and is very popular. One day he returned the kindness and passed it on. He returned this kindness when another new kid came to school and helped him settle in.

Remember don’t help the bully, be the problem solver. Give kindness to those made fun of and teased.

The End

Kindness is contagious. Pass it On!
