Fires
When the fires in San Diego were happening the Chargers helped out. 21 helped out on Thanksgiving! He gave out free turkeys to fire victims. Sean Merriman built back their houses. When the fires came around I went to Qualcomm stadium and entertained the victims because they had nothing. My dad came with his musician friends and they played music. I sang. They were so happy to have music because they didn’t have anything like a warm house or nice beds. Let’s all be kind to people in need.

Cancer Fundraising
One day I was driving in the car with my mom to go buy groceries, when we saw a women passing out flyers. We stopped by to see what she was passing because it seemed so interesting. When we got out of the car, we asked her what those flyers are about. She said she and some other people were going to help her earn money for people with cancer. We asked if we could help. She said sure. She told us we could help by selling some pink bracelets to other people. So the next day was when we started selling. We sold so many! We earned enough money to buy new things for the people with cancer. We felt so good when we were done. Me and my mom celebrated with a big chocolate cake! It was delicous. I hope we can do this again!

Droughts
Droughts aren't usually the first disaster that comes to mind! That's because droughts, un like tornados or earthquakes, don't have a sudden beginning or end. We can see a tornado and feel an earthquake but we can't see a drought.
A drought is a condition of large extent below normal water levels. Droughts can happen when there isn't enough rain. In any area affected by droughts forest fires become more likely. Droughts can last months or even years when a region shortens in its water supply.
How long a drought persists depends on the region in which it strikes. It's hard to predict when a drought might be coming or if we are even in a drought, but there are steps we as the people can take to prepare for droughts or to reduce their impact. These actions are called drought mitigation. Mitigation involves finding more water supplies and conserving the water we already have.
